V. Nicholas Gerasimou is a faith-based writer working out of Southern California. His passion for the written word has driven him to churn out poetry, prose, novels, and screenplays for decades. Excitingly, in the last four years, he made the decision to publish his work. In November of 2014 he published his second novel on Amazon.
His first novel was a topical study on Christianity, Jesus, faith and sin entitled “Get up and Walk: A Stroll With Jesus”. It is a conversationally toned novel that takes a number of Biblical themes and questions and explores them with sound Bible references and allusions from Gerasimou’s life that he unashamedly shares. It is a personal bible study that hopefully everyone can see small pieces of themselves in. It’s written in bite sized chunks and is laced with sarcasm and self deprecating humor so it doesn’t get bogged down in some of the heavy material.
The most recent addition to his body of work is a fictional tale entitled “Hidden Steps: Behind the Veil”. In it he explores the concepts of fate, predestination, the supernatural, and God’s ultimate plan. He follows a young man through a year of his life. During that year he travels from a life of sin and disbelief, to a relationship with God and a willingness to play a part in God’s grand design. We watch the protagonist seemingly stumble blindly through a wild, violent, and troubled period of his life. Danger and life-threatening situations are the norm, as are seemingly impossible and unbelievable events that he has trouble explaining away. Gerasimou then retells each chapter from a new perspective; that of the angelic and demonic beings that are locked in an ancient battle for our destiny. The reader gets a glimpse of the epic conflicts, and the planning that go into carrying out God’s plan. At the end we see that the random things we experience everyday may not be so random after-all.
In his spare time which is exponentially disappearing daily due to the glorious fact that he and his wife welcomed their second son into the world, he enjoys finding time to practice and train in the sport of Brazilian jiujitsu.
